Share your ageing report or a list of unpaid invoices with buyer names, amounts and due dates. The expert sorts them by recoverability (proof and admission), urgency (limitation and Section 138 deadlines) and route (notice, MSME Samadhaan, Section 138, summary suit), and recommends an order of action. The assessment is free; if you proceed on any of them, the fee is 30% on recovery, nothing upfront.
What to send
- Your debtors ageing report or a simple list: buyer, invoice numbers, amounts, due dates
- For each buyer: whether the debt is admitted, disputed or ignored, in a word
- Any cheques received and bounced, with memo dates
- Your Udyam certificate, if any
- The invoices and proof for the two or three largest accounts, to start
A spreadsheet export from Tally or your accounting software is ideal. See Book if you want the ageing report generated automatically.
How invoices are sorted
| Bucket | Criteria | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Urgent | Bounced cheque within 30 days; limitation within 6 months | Notice or filing this week |
| Strong | Clean proof, admitted or ignored, buyer solvent | Advocate's notice within 24 hours |
| Negotiate | Disputed deductions, reconciliation pending, relationship valuable | Statement plus structured negotiation |
| Low priority | Small amounts, weak proof, buyer untraceable | Self-help reminder; consider write-off |
What you learn about your own receivables
Beyond the individual invoices, the assessment usually shows a pattern: one buyer accounts for most of the risk, or a particular type of order (verbal, no challan) is where disputes arise, or MSME interest you are entitled to has never been claimed. The expert points these out so your next quarter's receivables look better. Use the DSO calculator to see what your current ageing costs you.
Acting on the assessment
You choose which buckets to act on. Each engaged account gets a dedicated advocate within 24 hours and its own notice; related accounts are coordinated. Nothing is charged upfront. If you proceed, FundRaksha Legal charges 30% only on the amount actually recovered; if nothing is recovered there is no success fee. Court fees, where a matter is filed, are borne by you and told to you in advance.
