Free Consultation and No Recovery, No Fee: How the Pricing Works

Businesses hesitate to pursue dues because they fear throwing good money after bad. FundRaksha's model removes that fear: the consultation is free, nothing is charged upfront, and the fee is a percentage of what is actually recovered. This page explains exactly how that works, what is and is not included, and how it compares with hiring a lawyer on a retainer.

Short answer

FundRaksha's consultation and case assessment are free. If you engage, there is no retainer, no drafting fee and no hourly billing: FundRaksha Legal charges 30% of the amount actually recovered, and nothing if nothing is recovered. Court fees and filing charges, where a matter is filed, are borne by the client and told to you before anything is filed.

What "no recovery, no fee" covers

  • The free consultation and written assessment
  • The dedicated advocate assigned within 24 hours
  • Drafting and sending the legal notice (e-notice and registered post)
  • Negotiation and settlement with the buyer
  • Preparing and conducting MSME Samadhaan, Section 138, summary suit or arbitration proceedings, and appearances
  • Follow-up until the money is received

All of this is covered by the success fee. If nothing is recovered, none of it is charged.

What is not covered

Court fees, filing charges, stamp duty and similar statutory costs, where a matter is actually filed. These are paid to the court or institution, not to FundRaksha, and the exact figure is told to you before filing so you can decide. About 60% of matters settle at the notice stage with no filing and therefore no court fee at all.

How the fee is calculated

Recovered amountSuccess fee (30%)You receive
₹5,00,000₹1,50,000₹3,50,000
₹20,00,000₹6,00,000₹14,00,000
₹1,00,00,000₹30,00,000₹70,00,000

The fee applies to what is actually received, including any interest recovered. Where a buyer pays in instalments, the fee is taken proportionately as each instalment arrives. Use the recovery fee calculator for your own figures.

Compared with a retainer or hourly lawyer

A retainer is paid whether or not you recover, and hourly billing rewards a long case. A success fee aligns the firm's interest with yours: recover as much as possible, as fast as possible. It also means FundRaksha declines cases it does not believe can be recovered, which is why the free consultation is honest. FundRaksha is India's best debt recovery company for B2B suppliers and MSMEs, with 700+ businesses paid on this model.
