An employee login logout app lets each employee check in when they arrive and check out when they leave, from their own phone. The time is recorded only if the phone is inside the office radius, each account works on one phone only, and forgotten check-outs are closed automatically. FundRaksha HR does this and also calculates late marks, half days and salary from the same records, from ₹49 per employee per month + GST.
What "login" and "logout" mean in practice
In attendance terms, login is the check-in at the start of the day and logout is the check-out at the end. Between the two you have working hours. A good app records both with the time and the place, then applies your rules: if the shift starts at 9:30 with a 10-minute grace period, a check-in at 9:45 is a late mark.
| Event | What is recorded | What it drives |
|---|---|---|
| Check-in (login) | Time, and whether the phone was inside the radius | Present or late |
| Check-out (logout) | Time | Working hours, early leaving, half day |
| No check-out | Closed automatically at night, flagged | Review by manager |
| No check-in | Absent unless on approved leave, week-off or holiday | Loss of pay |
Setting it up in a day
- Create the company and add each office with its radius.
- Import employees from Excel, or invite them with a company code.
- Set the shift timings, grace period, half-day rule, week-offs and the holiday list.
- Ask each employee to install the app and sign in on their own phone. The account locks to that phone.
- From the next morning, staff check in and out from the app. Managers see team attendance on the mobile app; HR sees it on the web console.
FundRaksha HR describes setup as live in a week with help from its team, and the Enterprise plan adds guided onboarding with data import help.
Rules that make the records useful
- Grace period. How many minutes after shift start still count as on time.
- Late marks. For example, 3 late marks in a month equal one half day.
- Half day. Working hours below a threshold, or a late arrival beyond a limit.
- Week-offs and holidays. Set per person or per roster, so they are not counted as absences.
- Leave. Approved leave covers the day; extra days become unpaid automatically.
These rules mean the login logout record becomes paid days without anyone counting by hand.
Worked example: a showroom with two shifts
A furniture showroom in Jaipur has 14 staff in two shifts, 10:00 to 7:00 and 12:00 to 9:00. The owner sets both shifts with a 10-minute grace period and a rule that 3 lates equal one half day.
One salesman checks in at 10:25 four times in the month. The app records four late marks; under the rule, three of them make one half day. He forgets to check out twice; both days are closed at night and flagged, and the manager confirms them. At month end his paid days are 29.5 of 30, and his payslip shows the per-day rate, paid days and loss of pay.
