Tofler is built around company data from official filings such as the MCA, with financial statements, ratio analysis and a Tofler Score, on annual plans from ₹15,000 + GST. FundRaksha Trust is built around a supplier's credit decision: a free GST check, then pay-per-check reports with GST filing, court cases, the owner's credit score and supplier-reported defaults, plus follow-ups and legal notices. Tofler is stronger for reading a company's accounts; Trust covers proprietorships and firms and ends in a credit decision.

Where Tofler is stronger
If your buyer is a private limited company and you are extending a large limit, its balance sheet and profit and loss over several years matter. Tofler offers financial statements and trends, ratio analysis for liquidity, solvency and profitability, and peer comparison through its Lists and Comparator features. Trust does not replace that analysis. For research-heavy teams, such as finance departments and analysts comparing many companies, an annual plan may also work out better than paying per check.
Where Trust fits better
- Buyers that are not companies. Many Indian traders and distributors are proprietorships or partnerships. They have a GSTIN but no MCA filings.
- Occasional checks. A supplier checking a handful of new buyers a month pays per check rather than for a year.
- Trade credit warnings. Supplier-reported defaults, reviewed by the Trust team, show unpaid invoices that do not appear in company accounts.
- After the sale. If the buyer does not pay, follow-ups and legal notices are in the same app.
Using both
A practical split: run the free GST check and a Trust report on every new buyer; for the few large company accounts, add Tofler's financial statements or ask the buyer for its CIBIL Company Credit Report.
Worked example: a Hyderabad bulk-drug supplier checks 15 new distributors a quarter, mostly proprietorships, and two large formulation companies a year. It runs Trust reports on all 15 distributors and reads the two companies' accounts on Tofler before setting their limits. See also the Zauba alternative page and the buyer-verification app guide.
Questions to ask before you choose
- How many buyers do I check in a year, and how many are companies?
- Do I need multi-year balance sheets, or a credit decision on a trade buyer?
- Who in my team will use it, and on what device?
- If a buyer does not pay, where will I go next?
The answers usually point clearly to one tool, or to a combination.
