Where Vyapar is stronger

Be clear about this before switching. If your shop loses internet often, Vyapar's offline billing is a real advantage. If you ship goods worth more than ₹50,000 regularly, or your turnover has crossed ₹5 crore so that e-invoicing applies, Vyapar has these built in and Book does not. Vyapar also offers an accounting module and Tally export on Gold, multiple companies, and features such as combining orders or challans into one sale.

Where FundRaksha Book is stronger

  • Cost at low and medium volume. ₹999 a year after 300 free invoices, against ₹4,399 or ₹4,799 for Vyapar's yearly desktop and mobile plans.
  • Labels by batch. Each purchase batch gets its own barcode, so old stock at the old price and new stock at the new price both scan right. On a part-used A4 sheet you tap the first empty label.
  • Pricing from margin. Enter cost and profit %, and Book sets the selling price; profit % is always on the selling price.
  • Composition done properly. Purchase GST is folded into cost before the margin, and bills print as a bill of supply.
  • Fine-grained staff access. Billing, editing sales, purchases, labels, reports and settings are separate switches.

FundRaksha Book is free for the first 300 invoices, with every feature switched on and no card needed. Sales and purchase invoices both count. After that, Pro is ₹999 a year for unlimited invoices, paid by UPI, card or net banking; the site says prices include applicable taxes as charged at checkout. See book.fundraksha.com.

Worked example: which fits?

  • A composition grocery in a town with steady mobile data, about 15,000 bills a year, all within the state: Book fits, at ₹999 a year.
  • A hardware dealer in an area with patchy internet who sends goods to two states every week: Vyapar fits better for offline billing and e-way bills.
  • A distributor near ₹5 crore turnover: needs e-invoicing soon; Vyapar or another tool with e-invoicing. Check with the e-invoice limit checker.

Moving from Vyapar to Book means entering your current stock as a purchase and your customer balances as opening amounts; plan it for a quiet day.
