Where myBillBook is stronger

For a pharmacy or FMCG distributor, myBillBook's expiry management is a real reason to choose it, since Book has no expiry field. If you want to send payment reminders with UPI links, run WhatsApp campaigns or loyalty points, issue quotations and purchase orders, or generate e-invoices and e-way bills from the same app, myBillBook lists all of these and Book has none of them. It also lists an iOS app; Book runs in the iPhone browser instead.

Where FundRaksha Book is stronger

  • A published, low price. 300 invoices free with every feature on, then ₹999 a year, with no per-user fees.
  • Batch labels that save stickers. Six A4 layouts and five thermal roll sizes, a start position on a part-used sheet, and label fields you choose.
  • Margin-based purchase pricing. Enter cost and profit % and the selling price is set; change the price and the margin updates.
  • Composition handled in pricing, not just on the bill.
  • Fewer screens to learn. Billing, purchases, labels, credit, expenses and a handful of reports.

FundRaksha Book is free for the first 300 invoices, with every feature switched on and no card needed. Sales and purchase invoices both count. After that, Pro is ₹999 a year for unlimited invoices, paid by UPI, card or net banking; the site says prices include applicable taxes as charged at checkout. See book.fundraksha.com.

Criteria to decide on

  • Compliance: do you need e-invoicing, e-way bills or GSTR reports inside the app?
  • Stock: do you need expiry dates, or are batch barcodes enough?
  • Collections: do you want automatic WhatsApp or SMS reminders, or will you share ledgers yourself?
  • Devices: is the iPhone browser enough, or do you want an iOS app?
  • Cost: is a published yearly price important to you before you speak to sales?

Worked example: two shops, two answers

  • A chemist who must watch expiry and wants WhatsApp reminders to doctors and clinics on credit: myBillBook fits better.
  • A footwear shop that needs barcode tags on every box, sells within the state and wants to keep software cost under ₹1,000 a year: Book fits.

Whichever you choose, test it on a real day's bills during the free period, and make sure you can export your data before you commit.
