FundRaksha HR gives Hyderabad employers GPS check-in on employees' own phones (only inside the office radius, one phone per employee), leave, shift rosters and a payroll that computes PF, ESI, PT and TDS, with payslip PDFs and PF ECR, ESI, bank and Tally files. Telangana profession tax: nil up to ₹15,000 a month, ₹150 up to ₹20,000 and ₹200 above. Plans cost ₹49, ₹79 or ₹99 per employee per month plus GST, with a 30-day free trial.
Hyderabad's workforce and its HR problems
Pharmaceuticals and bulk drugs, IT and IT-enabled services, engineering and electrical equipment, real estate and construction, and food processing are the city's largest employers. Pharma and engineering plants run shifts with QA and maintenance staff on rotation; construction firms have supervisors who move between sites.
Telangana's three PT slabs (nil, ₹150 and ₹200) mean a single increment can move an employee into a new slab, which is easy to miss when payroll is a spreadsheet.
- Plant staff on rotating shifts with manual overtime and late registers
- Site supervisors whose attendance is a WhatsApp message
- PT not updated when salaries cross ₹15,000 or ₹20,000
- IT teams on hybrid schedules with leave tracked by email
Telangana payroll rules for a Hyderabad employer
Telangana's schedule for salary and wage earners has three slabs: nil up to ₹15,000 a month, ₹150 a month from ₹15,001 to ₹20,000, and ₹200 a month above ₹20,000. Employers register and pay on the Commercial Taxes Department's profession tax portal, ptax.tgct.gov.in.
| Monthly salary | Profession tax |
|---|---|
| Up to ₹15,000 | Nil |
| ₹15,001 to ₹20,000 | ₹150 a month |
| Above ₹20,000 | ₹200 a month |
Shops and establishments. The Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 applies to shops and offices. The Labour Department handles online registration, licences and renewals through labour.telangana.gov.in. The four Labour Codes have been in force since 21 November 2025; state Shops and Establishments Acts continue alongside them.
ESI covers employees earning up to ₹21,000 a month (employee 0.75%, employer 3.25%); PF is 12% from each side. Check cases with the PF and ESI calculators.
How FundRaksha HR handles it in Hyderabad
- Shift roster and rules on Pro, with late marks applied automatically
- Each project site can be set up as an office with its own GPS radius
- Professional tax computed in payroll and a PT file every month
- Leave with balances and manager approvals, with approval by manager then admin if you want two steps
Admins work from the mobile app or the web console, and PAN, Aadhaar and bank numbers are encrypted and masked.
Worked example: an engineering firm with 60 staff
A Balanagar electrical equipment maker has 60 employees. Twenty earn up to ₹15,000 and pay no PT, fifteen earn between ₹15,001 and ₹20,000 and pay ₹150 a month, and twenty-five earn above ₹20,000 and pay ₹200. After April increments, six workers move from ₹150 to ₹200.
On Pro at ₹79 per employee (₹4,740 a month plus GST), the new salaries flow into the next payroll, the PT file reflects the new slabs, and the PF ECR and ESI files are generated from the same run.
