FundRaksha HR gives Bengaluru employers GPS check-in on employees' own phones (only inside the office radius, one phone per employee), leave, shift rosters and a payroll that computes PF, ESI, PT and TDS, with payslip PDFs and PF ECR, ESI, bank and Tally files. Karnataka profession tax: nil below ₹25,000 a month; ₹200 a month and ₹300 in February from ₹25,000. Plans cost ₹49, ₹79 or ₹99 per employee per month plus GST, with a 30-day free trial.
Bengaluru's workforce and its HR problems
IT and software services, startups and SaaS, garments and apparel exports, aerospace and precision engineering and electronics are the city's main employers. The first two hire salaried professionals who rarely sit in the same office five days a week; the rest run shop floors.
Karnataka's 2025 PT change matters here. With PT starting at ₹25,000, most garment workers pay none, while almost every engineer pays ₹200 a month and ₹300 in February.
- Hybrid teams where nobody is sure who was in the office on which day
- Garment units with large shifts and ESI on almost every worker
- PT applied to everyone, including staff below ₹25,000
- Payslips assembled in a spreadsheet the night before salary day
Karnataka payroll rules for a Bengaluru employer
Karnataka replaced its PT schedule through an amendment Act notified on 15 April 2025. Salary of ₹25,000 and above a month pays ₹200 a month, and ₹300 for February; below ₹25,000 no PT is deducted.
| Monthly salary | Profession tax |
|---|---|
| Below ₹25,000 | Nil |
| ₹25,000 and above | ₹200 a month, ₹300 in February |
Labour welfare fund. Karnataka collects labour welfare fund once a year through the Karnataka Labour Welfare Board. For calendar year 2025 the Board set 15 January 2026 as the last date for payment, so the next contribution falls due in January again. Track it separately: LWF is not among FundRaksha HR's listed files.
Shops and establishments. Shops and commercial establishments are governed by the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1961. Registration is made online with the Labour Department through its e-Karmika portal. The four Labour Codes have been in force since 21 November 2025; state Shops and Establishments Acts continue alongside them.
ESI covers employees earning up to ₹21,000 a month (employee 0.75%, employer 3.25%); PF is 12% from each side. Check cases with the PF and ESI calculators.
How FundRaksha HR handles it in Bengaluru
- Office, work-from-home or hybrid mode per employee, with check-in only inside the office radius
- Shift roster and rules for factory staff on Pro
- Payroll with PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS, and a live salary forecast during the month
- Payslip PDFs for every employee, plus bank transfer CSV and Tally XML
Admins work from the mobile app or the web console, and PAN, Aadhaar and bank numbers are encrypted and masked.
Worked example: a Peenya garment unit and its head office
A garment exporter has 80 tailors and checkers earning ₹14,000 to ₹19,000 a month and a 12-person office in Rajajinagar. All 80 workers are below ₹21,000, so ESI applies, and all are below ₹25,000, so no PT is deducted. In the office, eight people earn above ₹25,000 and pay ₹200 a month and ₹300 in February.
On Pro at ₹79 per employee the bill is ₹7,268 a month plus GST. The factory and office are separate GPS locations, each with its own radius, and one payroll produces the ESI and PT files.
Getting started: a one-week checklist
- Import employees from Excel and invite them with your company code.
- Add each Bengaluru office, plant or site with its GPS radius.
- Set attendance rules, holidays, week-offs and shifts.
- Enter salary structures and confirm the Karnataka PT treatment on a test month.
- Run payroll, check payslips, then download the PF ECR, ESI, bank and Tally files.
