Yes, if your papers are in order. On FundRaksha Trust a lawyer drafts the notice and the legal team reviews it; once it is ready, a digital notice goes by email and WhatsApp and is delivered in minutes, tracked in the app. Trust does not state a fixed drafting time, so start as soon as you know the facts. A physical notice goes by registered post, which takes as long as the post takes.
What decides how fast a notice goes out
Three things take time, and only one of them is delivery:
- Your facts. The buyer's legal name and address, invoice or cheque details and the amount. If you have to dig these out, that is where the day goes.
- Drafting and review. On Trust a lawyer drafts and the legal team reviews every notice. Trust's page does not promise a fixed drafting time, and any questions come to you in the app, so answering them quickly keeps things moving.
- Delivery. Digital notices are delivered in minutes once sent. Registered post depends on India Post.
Prepare these before you start
- The buyer's GSTIN. Run the free GST check to get the exact legal name and registered address.
- Invoice numbers, dates and amounts, and any part payments received.
- For a cheque bounce: cheque number, date, bank, amount and the return memo with its date and reason.
- The buyer's email address and WhatsApp number for digital delivery.
- Any written promises to pay, such as emails or WhatsApp messages.
With these to hand, filling in the Trust form takes a few minutes. See the cheque bounce legal notice format for what the notice will cover.
Digital first, post as well
| Digital notice | Physical notice | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery | Email and WhatsApp, in minutes after it is sent | Registered post, depends on the post |
| Tracking | In the app | India Post tracking number |
| Proof | Delivery status | Proof of delivery saved |
| Price | 749 RP (GST notice), 799 RP (cheque bounce) | 1,199 RP (GST notice), 1,099 RP (cheque bounce) |
A digital notice gets the buyer's attention fastest. For a cheque bounce, where you may later have to prove service in court, many suppliers also send the physical notice. Sending both is often the safest course when the 30-day window is running.
Worked example
A Ludhiana bicycle-parts maker receives a return memo on the 3rd for a ₹1,85,000 cheque from a Kanpur dealer. On the same day it runs the free GST check for the dealer's registered address and submits a cheque bounce notice on Trust, attaching the memo. Once the notice is drafted and reviewed, the digital copy (799 RP) is delivered by email and WhatsApp in minutes, and the physical copy (1,099 RP) goes by registered post with proof of delivery saved. The dealer now has 15 days from receipt to pay. See cheque bounce notice online.
Mistakes that cost time
- Wrong legal name or address. Use the GST registration, not the letterhead.
- Missing the return memo date. For a cheque bounce, the 30 days run from the memo, not from when you noticed.
- Waiting for one more promise. Every week of waiting on a bounced cheque eats into the 30 days.
- No WhatsApp or email. Digital delivery needs a working address or number for the buyer.
