FundRaksha Collect is a payment reminder and collection platform for Indian businesses. You upload or sync invoices; it sends polite, branded reminders before and after the due date over WhatsApp, SMS and email, with a payment link, and can collect automatically through UPI Autopay or NACH mandates. The fee is 1% of what is collected, with no monthly charge. Buyers who do not respond can be escalated to FundRaksha Legal for a notice within 24 hours.
The problem with manual follow-up
In most small and mid-size businesses, payment follow-up is the owner's job or the accountant's afterthought. It happens when cash is tight, not when the invoice falls due. Buyers learn this. They pay the suppliers who remind them on the due date and stretch the ones who do not. The result is a DSO that drifts upward every year without anyone deciding it should.
Automation does not make the buyer pay; consistency does. A reminder two days before the due date, one on the day, and a firmer one a week later, every time, from every invoice, teaches the buyer that your invoices are the ones to clear first.
How FundRaksha Collect works
- Connect your invoices. Import from Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, a spreadsheet, or FundRaksha Book, where Collect is built in.
- Set the schedule. Default: pre-due reminder, due-date reminder, then escalating reminders at 7, 15 and 30 days. Edit per customer group.
- Reminders go out over WhatsApp, SMS and email in your name, with the invoice attached and a payment link for UPI, cards or net banking.
- Payment lands in your account; the invoice is marked paid and reminders stop automatically.
- Mandates for recurring buyers. Offer UPI Autopay or NACH so the due date debits itself; see e-mandate collections.
- Escalate the silent ones. One click sends an unpaid invoice to FundRaksha Legal for a notice within 24 hours.
The fee is 1% of what is collected through the platform. There is no monthly or per-message charge. Visit collect.fundraksha.com to start.
Reminders that work with Indian buyers
- WhatsApp first. Indian accounts teams read WhatsApp; they skim email. Reminders arrive as a short message with the invoice PDF and a pay link.
- Tone ladder. Friendly before due, neutral on due date, formal after, with a mention of the statutory interest and GST credit consequences in the late reminders.
- Statement of account. Buyers with several invoices receive one consolidated statement, not five messages.
- Escalation copy. Later reminders can be copied to the buyer's finance head or owner, which you set per customer.
- Payment link in every message. Removing friction is half the battle; a buyer who has decided to pay should be able to in one tap.
Collect versus Legal: which one for which buyer
| Buyer behaviour | Use | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Pays, but always late and only when chased | Collect reminders and a mandate | 1% of collections |
| Many small invoices across many customers | Collect | 1% |
| Silent for 60 days or more on a significant invoice | Escalate to Legal | 30% on recovery |
| Disputing without basis, or cheque bounced | Legal immediately | 30% on recovery |
Many businesses run both: Collect for the ledger, Legal for the exceptions. See accounts receivable collection for the combined service and the DSO calculator to see what faster collection is worth.
