Issue Form No. 130 (earlier Form 16) by 15 June of the financial year after the tax year: for tax year 2026-27, by 15 June 2027. It is generated from TRACES only after the quarterly statement in Form No. 138 (earlier 24Q) is processed, and the Q4 statement is due 31 May. It must be downloaded from TRACES and signed digitally or by hand; a certificate made any other way is not valid. For FY 2025-26 (salary paid up to 31 March 2026), the old Form 16 was due by 15 June 2026.

If Form 130 is late or wrong
- Late issue: the law sets a penalty for failure to furnish a certificate; issue as soon as the statement is processed rather than waiting for the deadline.
- Wrong PAN or amount: file a correction statement in Form No. 138 and issue the corrected certificate after it is processed. Corrections are allowed within two years from the end of the tax year in which the statement was due.
- Duplicate: you may issue a duplicate if the employee lost the original, marked as duplicate.
Two employers in one year
Each employer issues Part A and Part B for its own period. Part C (the computation) can be issued by each employer or by the last employer, at the employee's option. If the employee declared the earlier salary to you, your Part C should include it.
FundRaksha HR keeps the year's salary and TDS ready in Part C format, so the only wait is for TRACES. See the Form 16 format explained and Form 24Q due dates.
