Example: an insured person whose average daily wage is ₹600 and who is certified sick gets sickness benefit at 70%, that is ₹420 a day, for the certified days, up to 91 days in a year.

- Employers: the 17-digit ESIC employer code, an authorisation letter for the person visiting, contribution challans for the period, and the notice or letter you are replying to.
- Insured persons escalating a claim: insurance number or e-Pehchan card, the branch office name and any reply already received.
