Regional Office, Kandivali-West is at Bhavishya Nidhi Bhavan, Plot No.222, Sector No.3, Charkop Market, Charkop Poisar Road, (West) Kandivali - 400 067, Maharashtra. Contact: phone 022-28692604, 022-20892438 and email ro.kandivali@epfindia.gov.in. EPFO's Citizens' Charter says regional offices handle "securing compliance, services delivery" and the supervision of district offices. This is the office that settles PF claims and transfers for establishments registered with it, and the one employers deal with for compliance.

What this office handles
In practice this covers:
- PF final and part withdrawals (Forms 19 and 31), pension claims (Forms 10C and 10D) and death claims (Forms 20 and 5IF) of members whose PF account is held here
- PF transfers (Form 13) and corrections to member details and KYC that need the office
- Employer coverage, monthly ECR and payment compliance, notices and inspections for establishments in its area
- Grievances escalated from EPFiGMS, and the facilitation centre for walk-in visitors
Your PF account is held by the regional office where your employer's establishment is registered, not the office nearest your home. The office code is part of your PF number (for example the letters at the start of an account number such as MH/BAN/...), and the member portal shows which office holds each of your accounts.
How long EPFO should take
EPFO's Citizens' Charter sets these targets, which are tighter than the time limits in the schemes:
| Service | Time under the scheme | Citizens' Charter target |
|---|---|---|
| PF final withdrawal (Form 19) | 20 days | 7 working days |
| PF part withdrawal (Form 31) | 20 days | 7 working days |
| PF illness advance (Form 31) | 20 days | 3 working days |
| PF transfer (Form 13) | 20 days | 7 working days |
| PF withdrawal by nominees or survivors (Form 20) | 20 days | 3 working days |
| EDLI insurance to nominees or survivors (Form 5IF) | 20 days | 3 working days |
| Monthly pension (Form 10D) | 20 days | 7 working days |
| Pension withdrawal benefit or scheme certificate (Form 10C) | 20 days | 7 working days |
| Redressal of grievances | Not stated | 7 working days |
If a claim crosses the charter time, raise a grievance on EPFiGMS with your UAN and claim ID; EPFO says unresolved grievances move to the next higher authority.
What to carry
- Members: UAN and PF account number, Aadhaar, PAN, a bank passbook or cancelled cheque for the account seeded as KYC, and a copy of the claim or its acknowledgement if one was filed.
- For a grievance: the EPFiGMS registration number and any rejection message from the member portal.
- Pensioners: PPO number, Aadhaar and bank details; the life certificate can be given online through Jeevan Pramaan.
- Employers: establishment code, an authorisation letter on the letterhead for the person visiting, copies of ECRs and payment challans for the months in question, and the notice you are replying to.
- Death claims: death certificate, the nominee's identity proof and bank details, with Forms 20, 10D and 5IF as applicable.
Call or email first: offices can tell you if a visit is needed at all, and which counter or section to go to.
Do it online instead
- EPFO member portal (UAN): passbook, KYC, withdrawal claims (Forms 31, 19, 10C), transfer (Form 13) and claim status.
- EPFO employer portal: UAN generation, monthly ECR and payment, KYC approval and exits.
- EPFiGMS: grievances to this office, with a registration number you can track.
- Helpline 14470; EPFO also lists a WhatsApp helpline number for each regional office in its directory.
Most office visits by employers start with a payroll mistake: a wrong wage figure in the ECR, a missed month or an employee without a UAN. FundRaksha HR works out PF on every payroll run and gives you the PF ECR file to upload, so the monthly return matches the payslips. Check the numbers with the free PF calculator.
